Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Operator Foreman to lead a crew focused on the replacement and repair of manholes and catch basins. This hands-on leadership role requires strong operational knowledge of heavy equipment, excavation practices, and site safety. You will be responsible for managing daily jobsite operations while ensuring that work is completed efficiently, safely, and according to specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a crew in the replacement and repair of manholes and catch basins.

  • Operate heavy equipment including excavators, backhoes, and loaders.

  • Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper equipment is on-site.

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and site plans.

  • Ensure work complies with project specifications, safety regulations, and company standards.

  • Perform quality checks and maintain detailed daily logs and reports.

  • Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors.

  • Train and mentor crew members on procedures and safety protocols.

  • Troubleshoot issues on-site and provide solutions in real time.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in utility construction or municipal infrastructure repair.

  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment safely and effectively.

  • Prior leadership or foreman experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of confined space entry and trench safety procedures.

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain).

  • Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to read construction blueprints and interpret utility markings.
